Property Claims Handler

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Property Claims Handler to join a well‑established insurance brokerage in Manchester. You will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial property claims, providing expert technical support and ensuring a high‑quality service for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial property claims from first notification through to settlement.
• Provide technical guidance to clients, insurers and internal colleagues.
• Maintain accurate, compliant records using the Acturis system.
• Handle enquiries via phone, email and face‑to‑face, delivering a professional service.
• Produce claims reports and verify insurers' confirmed claim experiences.
• Liaise with insurers, loss adjusters and third‑party providers throughout the claims process.
• Organise and attend internal and client claims meetings as required.
• Ensure all activities comply with FCA regulations and internal procedures.

Required profile

• Proven experience handling property claims; liability claims experience is a plus.
• Strong technical knowledge of commercial property claims processes.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with strong attention to detail.
• GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
