Property Manager – Rent to Buy (3‑Month Temporary Contract)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Property Manager to join a busy housing team on a three‑month temporary contract. The role focuses on the Rent‑to‑Buy service, managing residential properties, supporting lettings and ensuring a high‑quality customer experience across Manchester and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of residential properties within the Rent‑to‑Buy scheme.
• Support the letting process by arranging viewings and progressing tenancies.
• Minimise void periods and maximise rental income.
• Carry out tenancy checks, including fraud prevention and subletting investigations.
• Raise repair requests and oversee works to completion.
• Build positive relationships with residents, contractors and stakeholders.
• Handle resident enquiries and complaints, delivering excellent service.
• Maintain accurate records using internal systems and ensure compliance with housing legislation.

Required profile

• Previous experience in residential property or housing management.
• Strong understanding of tenancy management and relevant legislation (ASTs, breaches, arrears, legal notices).
• Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
• Ability to work in a target‑driven, fast‑paced environment.
• Organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel and Teams.
• Experience using CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
