Property Solicitor – Commercial & Residential

About the role

The Legists, a respected regional law firm in Dorset, is seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join its growing team. You will manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential property matters, providing expert advice to individuals, businesses, investors, and developers.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial and residential property transactions from instruction to completion.
• Advise on sales, purchases, leases, refinances, transfers, and landlord‑tenant matters.
• Draft and negotiate contracts, leases, and related documentation.
• Conduct due diligence and identify legal and commercial risks.
• Liaise with clients and key stakeholders to ensure smooth transactions.
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong experience in both commercial and residential property law.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload independently.
• Good knowledge of SRA regulations, AML requirements, and risk management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with case management systems.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office.
