About the role
Serving as the day‑to‑day lead of Cartus’s corporate writing team, the Proposal Writing Manager oversees the flow of incoming projects and ensures strategic oversight for successful delivery. The role combines team leadership with hands‑on management of specialist proposals and high‑visibility bids. The manager works closely with finance and client retention teams to align proposal outcomes with business objectives.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and assign incoming writing projects to the wider team, ensuring appropriate workload distribution.
- Provide strategic oversight to guarantee effective completion of assignments, meeting quality and timeline standards.
- Personally handle a lower volume of specialist or senior‑review projects that require expert input.
- Develop team skills, maintain the response database, and continuously improve writing processes.
- Allocate resources to support incoming bids and RFPs, optimizing team capacity.
- Own and drive completion of selected high‑visibility or complex bids, coordinating cross‑functional input.
