PSV Engineering Trainer – Heavy Vehicle & Bus Apprenticeship

About the role

Join a leading automotive apprenticeship provider as a PSV Engineering Trainer, delivering Level 3 training for heavy vehicle, bus and coach programmes. Based at the Bristol academy, you will combine classroom theory with hands‑on workshop sessions to develop the next generation of industry talent.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 3 Heavy Vehicle and Bus & Coach apprenticeship training across theory and practical workshops.
• Support apprentices during block delivery, guiding them through coursework, assessments and progress reviews.
• Bring theory sessions to life using discussion, questioning, demonstrations and real‑world examples.
• Monitor apprentice engagement, provide feedback and help achieve certification outcomes.

Required profile

• Background in Heavy Vehicle, Bus & Coach, PSV or Commercial Vehicle maintenance.
• Level 3 qualification in a relevant field.
• Strong technical knowledge of inspections, safety checks, diagnostics and current industry standards.
• Recent industry experience is highly desirable.
• Confidence delivering both theoretical and practical content.
• Basic IT proficiency and comfort with Microsoft systems and digital learning tools.
