Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner – NHS Band 5

About the role

The North East London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join the Redbridge Talking Therapies service at Goodmayes Hospital. This permanent, full‑time position offers the opportunity to deliver evidence‑based, low‑intensity interventions to adults experiencing mild to moderate psychological distress.

Key responsibilities

• Accept referrals and develop personalised care plans in line with service protocols.
• Conduct patient‑centred assessments, identify areas for change and evaluate risk to self or others.
• Provide high‑volume, low‑intensity treatments such as guided self‑help and computerised CBT.
• Educate and involve family members where appropriate.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a seamless stepped‑care approach.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to data collection for service improvement.
• Participate in clinical supervision and integrate feedback into practice.

Required profile

• Proficiency in patient‑centred assessments and risk evaluation.
• Experience delivering evidence‑based psychological interventions.
• Commitment to working within an inclusive, values‑based framework that respects diversity and promotes recovery.
