Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Support Assistant

About the role
We are looking for a recent psychology graduate to join a specialist school in Oxford as a Mental Health Support Assistant. You will work directly with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, helping them feel safe, supported and ready to learn.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to help students manage emotions and develop coping strategies.
- Build trusted relationships that give students confidence and stability.
- Support social development and model positive behaviours.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists and pastoral staff to deliver consistent support.
- Be a calm, encouraging presence, especially on challenging days.
Required profile
- Passionate about mental health and supporting young people.
- Patient, empathetic and positive attitude.
- Eager to learn and develop in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong team player with a good understanding of safeguarding.
Required skills

- Full‑time, onsite position starting in September.
- Daily rate of £90‑£110.
