Pub Cleaner

About the role

Join a busy Wetherspoon pub in Carlisle as a Cleaner, ensuring all areas are spotless to enhance the customer experience. No prior experience is required – we provide full training and a supportive team environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness in customer areas, toilets, bar, kitchen, staff rooms and external spaces.
• Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning tasks following standard operating procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly.
• Monitor and report cleaning supply levels and any maintenance or pest‑management issues.
• Interact politely with customers, greeting them and thanking them on departure.
• Participate in induction, role‑specific training and ongoing refresher sessions.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic, reliable and friendly with a positive attitude.
• Willingness to learn and work under pressure.
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including mornings, evenings, weekends and late finishes.
