Pulper Operator – Manufacturing (UK)

About the role

We are looking for a Pulper Operator to join our tissue‑paper production site in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will be responsible for feeding the pulpers according to the daily loading plan while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Pick bales of pulp and converting broke, de‑wire them and load onto the conveyor following the loading schedule.
• Enter bale details into the stock management system.
• Operate de‑wiring conveyor, pulper feed conveyors and steel‑wire baler.
• Identify and isolate potential contaminants in bales.
• Perform routine equipment checks and report any faults.
• Maintain equipment in line with work instructions and training guidelines.
• Assist with paper‑machine operation and cleaning when required.
• Adhere to quality, environmental, health and safety standards and keep the work area tidy.

Required profile

• Ability to follow detailed loading sheets and safety instructions.
• Familiarity with plant automation and equipment.
• Attention to detail for contaminant detection and record keeping.
• Willingness to perform routine maintenance and report issues.
• Commitment to health, safety and environmental procedures.

Required skills

• Operation of de‑wiring conveyor.
• Operation of pulper feed conveyors.
• Use of stock management system for inventory entry.
• Conducting routine equipment checks.
