Purchase Ledger Clerk – Full-time Finance Role

About the role

We are recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well‑established automotive business in Sittingbourne. The role offers a full‑time, permanent position within a busy finance team, handling supplier invoices and payments.

Key responsibilities

• Process and log supplier invoices.
• Maintain accurate purchase ledger records and documentation.
• Prepare invoices for payment authorisation and process supplier payments.
• Post and monitor petty cash transactions.
• Investigate and resolve supplier queries.
• Produce finance and management reports.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal departments.
• Maintain accurate supplier account information and support the wider finance team as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.
• Experience working within a busy finance function.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of financial controls and audit requirements.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proactive, driven and able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
