About the role
Abacus Consulting is partnering with a well‑respected business in Harpenden to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk. The role is 100 % onsite in a busy, fast‑paced finance department, where you will handle day‑to‑day ledger tasks and support the wider finance team. Interviews are expected to take place during the week of 14 September.
Key responsibilities
- Posting purchase invoices.
- Running regular payment batches.
- Reconciling supplier statements.
- Resolving queries from suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Managing the finance inbox.
- Performing general finance administration.
- Providing support to finance colleagues.
Required profile
- Strong experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable.
- Confident user of Microsoft Excel.
