Purchasing Manager – Consumer Goods (Health & Beauty)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement function for a fast‑growing British health & beauty consumer goods business based in Wimbledon. The role is office‑based and requires a proactive leader who can shape strategy, manage supplier relationships and ensure timely, cost‑effective product delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business growth targets.
• Build, manage and develop supplier relationships across international markets.
• Oversee inventory planning and purchasing budgets.
• Support product development initiatives in partnership with design and product teams.
• Manage import/export compliance for relevant trade regions.
• Lead, mentor and develop the purchasing team.
• Partner cross‑functionally with finance, logistics and commercial teams.

Required profile

• Managerial experience with a proven track record of building high‑performing teams.
• At least 3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within consumer goods.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Professional procurement qualification such as MCIPS is preferred.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or equivalent data‑analysis capability.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite (advantage).

What we offer

• Competitive salary between £42,000 and £50,000 per year, dependent on experience.
