Purchasing Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Officer to join a secure, friendly and growing business in Dungannon. You will be responsible for monitoring stock levels and re‑ordering from long‑standing suppliers to ensure customers receive the right products at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Raise purchase orders for products and materials, ensuring timely delivery to Northern Ireland.
• Maintain and update the procurement database, tracking deliveries and order status.
• Work with international suppliers to manage timelines and resolve any issues.
• Communicate order changes to internal staff and external customers.
• Identify potential lead‑time or delivery issues and alert relevant colleagues.
• Provide stock level information to colleagues from the database.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the purchasing function.

Required profile

• Previous experience in purchasing, buying or supply‑chain roles.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience raising purchase orders, resolving invoices and obtaining quotes.
• Strong administration skills and basic maths proficiency.
• Professional communication style and a proactive attitude.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
