QA Technician – Food Manufacturing (Temporary)

About the role

This temporary position supports a busy technical team in a well‑established food manufacturing business. The QA Technician ensures food safety, quality, and compliance across production operations, with the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct routine quality assurance checks and pre‑start inspections.
• Perform GMP audits across production areas.
• Verify labels, packaging specifications and monitor CCPs.
• Support product traceability and hygiene verification activities.
• Raise and report non‑conformances.
• Provide general support to the Technical team as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience in food manufacturing QA or quality.
• Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, allergen management and food safety standards.
• Ability to complete and review production and quality documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record‑keeping.
• Reliable attendance and ability to commute to the Plymouth site.
