QA/Validation Supervisor – Pharmaceutical

About the role

We are working with a well‑established pharmaceutical and life‑sciences organisation to recruit a QA/Validation Supervisor. This newly created, onsite position will lead a small team while remaining hands‑on with quality systems and validation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of approximately seven QA professionals.
• Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
• Oversee QA documentation including deviations, CAPAs, change controls and reports.
• Support and participate in internal and external audits (regulatory, customer, supplier).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality processes.
• Manage team performance, training, holiday planning and absence monitoring.
• Act as the primary contact for quality‑related matters across the business.
• Contribute to equipment and process validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and produce validation reports.
• Ensure timely delivery of KPIs and departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a GMP‑regulated environment in a QA/Validation role.
• Previous line‑management or supervisory experience.
• Experience with equipment validations and, ideally, process validations.
• Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Experience conducting internal audits; exposure to external audits is advantageous.
• Ability to produce technical validation and QA documentation.
• Excellent communication, organisational and decision‑making skills with high attention to detail.
