Qualified Non-Medical Prescriber – West Sussex

About the role

Change Grow Live is seeking a Qualified Non‑Medical Prescriber to join its multidisciplinary team in Maidstone, West Sussex. You will work within a supportive environment that delivers clinical recovery‑oriented alcohol and drug services, helping service users achieve lasting wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and care for service users accessing clinical treatment.
• Conduct clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Identify suitability for in‑patient alcohol and opioid detoxification and coordinate referrals.
• Review and manage ongoing clinical treatment plans, including prescribing and adjusting opiate or alcohol substitute medications.
• Lead the development of the prescribing clinic and act as a point of contact for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.

Required profile

• Qualified Pharmacist with current GPhC registration and at least two years post‑qualification experience, or a first‑level registered nurse with a current PIN and at least three years post‑qualification experience.
• Current Non‑Medical Prescriber qualification.
• Full driving licence and access to own transport, or ability to travel between service sites as needed.

Required skills

• Clinical assessment and prescribing expertise for alcohol and opioid substitution therapies.
• Ability to develop and manage prescribing clinics.
• Strong collaboration skills with medical leads, managers and multidisciplinary teams.
