About the role
We are looking for a qualified Nursery Assistant to join a welcoming two‑form entry primary school’s on‑site nursery in Brighton & Hove from September 2026. You will work with children aged 2‑3 years, supporting their early development within the Early Years Foundation Stage framework.
Key responsibilities
- Support the learning and development of 2‑3‑year‑old children.
- Assist in delivering engaging EYFS‑aligned activities.
- Promote social, emotional, physical and communication development.
- Maintain a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide personal care assistance when required.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
- Contribute to observations, assessments and learning records.
Required profile
- Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
- Experience working with nursery‑aged children, preferably in a school or nursery setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
- Caring, patient and enthusiastic attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Passion for supporting young children’s development and learning.
