About the role
We are seeking an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities Team within Bury Council. This contract position offers a competitive rate of £38 per hour and provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children with additional needs.
Key responsibilities
- Assess and support children with disabilities and their families, ensuring their wellbeing and safeguarding.
- Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with multi‑agency partners.
- Coordinate with health, education and community services to deliver integrated support.
- Maintain accurate case records and produce timely reports for statutory requirements.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews and professional development activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Social Worker (registered with appropriate regulatory body).
- Relevant experience working with children with disabilities or special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, multi‑agency working and statutory frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
