Quality Assurance Officer – Education (12‑month FTC)

About the role

The General Pharmaceutical Council is seeking a Quality Assurance Officer to join its education team on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract. You will help ensure pharmacy education and training programmes meet professional standards, working closely with providers, panels and internal colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of accreditation work for pharmacy education programmes.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and provide guidance on education standards and processes.
• Review programme changes and support evidence‑based decision making.
• Identify, assess and escalate potential risks or concerns.
• Collaborate with education providers, panel members and internal stakeholders to maintain quality assurance processes.

Required profile

• Experience of evidence‑based decision making with sound judgement.
• Experience working with standards or quality frameworks in regulation, education or healthcare.
• Proven ability to oversee quality assurance processes.
• Collaborative experience with boards, panels or subject‑expert groups.
• Excellent written communication and ability to present complex information clearly.
• Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills.
