Quality Controller – Manufacturing

About the role

Terex is looking for a dedicated Quality Controller to join its Cookstown site. You will support the production of chassis and ancillary equipment, ensuring that every component meets the company’s high standards of quality and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) of chassis and related equipment using 3D model software and generate detailed reports.
• Conduct paint checks on chassis, horns, and power units.
• Inspect internally fabricated parts and sub‑assemblies before they move to main build.
• Maintain quality gates, raise non‑conformances via the red‑tag process, and support FRACAS resolution.
• Participate in internal audits (5S, LSOP) and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• Experience in a quality or inspection role within a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to read and produce clear handwritten reports.
• Good teamwork, communication, and health‑and‑safety awareness.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D model software for inspection reporting.
• Use of measurement equipment such as weld gauges, taper gauges, and angle finders.
• Basic computer skills.
• Knowledge of quality management system processes.
