Quality Controller / Valet

About the role

Poole Accident Repair is looking for a Quality Controller / Valet to ensure every repaired vehicle meets quality standards and leaves the centre to the highest standard. The role covers final inspections, vehicle preparation, documentation and valeting, working closely with the Workshop Manager, Workshop Controller, reception team and technicians.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out final quality inspections on repaired vehicles to ensure work meets manufacturer and company standards.
• Conduct road tests where required to verify vehicle performance and repair quality.
• Identify defects, incomplete repairs or quality concerns before vehicles are released to customers.
• Prepare vehicles to a high presentation standard, including full interior and exterior valeting.
• Move vehicles safely around the workshop and support the smooth flow of work.
• Complete check-in and check-out procedures, including accurate documentation and condition photographs.
• Assist with collections, deliveries and customer handovers.
• Maintain records for courtesy vehicles, including condition checks and cleaning schedules.
• Follow health and safety procedures and report hazards, defects or equipment issues.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a vehicle valeting, workshop, bodyshop or automotive environment.
• Knowledge of vehicle repair processes and manufacturer standards.
• Ability to identify vehicle damage, defects and quality issues.
• Organised, with good administration and record-keeping skills.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team, professional and customer-focused.
• Full UK driving licence required.
