Quality Engineer – Manufacturing & QMS

About the role

We are supporting an established engineering and manufacturing business that supplies high‑integrity products to demanding sectors such as oil & gas, petrochemical and power generation. The Quality Engineer will own quality standards across the manufacturing process, from customer order to final dispatch, working closely with production, technical teams, suppliers and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Support implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 and API Q1 Quality Management Systems.
• Identify, report and track quality issues; investigate and resolve them with Production and Technical teams.
• Manage the non‑conformance process, including documentation, investigation and close‑out of NCRs.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis using 8D, 5 Whys and Fishbone techniques.
• Implement, monitor and verify the effectiveness of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Handle customer complaints, supplier NCRs and product rejection cases.
• Maintain material and product traceability, inspection & test reports, and test certificates.
• Coordinate customer and third‑party inspections and conduct in‑process and final product inspections.
• Participate in internal audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Quality Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
• ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor certification.
• Strong background in implementing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.
• Experience with non‑conformance management, RCA and CAPA.
• Good understanding of structured problem‑solving methodologies.
