About the role
This position is for a Proposals Engineer with a background in infrastructure, PLCs and automation. You will be a key specialist during the early planning phases of large‑scale infrastructure projects, handling enquiries, estimating costs and preparing proposals and tenders.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a go‑to specialist on the early phases of large infrastructure projects.
- Receive inbound enquiries, estimate costs and write detailed proposals.
- Create tender designs and provide ongoing project support.
- Liaise with clients, senior leadership and other departments before handing work over to project and site teams.
Required profile
- Experience as a Proposals Engineer or similar role.
- Strong background in infrastructure, PLCs and automation.
- Able to commute to an office in Manchester.
Required skills
- PLC programming and configuration.
- SCADA systems knowledge.
- Familiarity with Siemens automation equipment.
