Quality Manager

About the role

SMC Group is creating a brand‑new Quality Manager position to lead operational quality across its manufacturing business. You will work closely with senior leadership to embed a culture where quality is everyone’s responsibility and drive continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead quality across manufacturing operations, ensuring product conformity.
• Drive effective inspection and quality control processes.
• Investigate quality issues and implement robust corrective actions.
• Analyse quality performance data and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with Production, Design and Purchasing to reduce defects and improve processes.
• Support and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
• Provide quality insight and performance reporting to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Experienced quality professional from a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven ability to make decisions, solve problems and influence colleagues at all levels.
• Strong communication skills with credibility to challenge and coach others.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of quality.

Required skills

• ISO 9001 Quality Management System knowledge.
