Quantitative Developer – Analytics Platform

About the role

Barclays is seeking a Quantitative Developer to join the Analytics Platform team within the Core Strats and Quantitative Analytics group. The role focuses on developing the Analytic Service, redesigning APIs, and ensuring seamless interaction between in‑house analytics libraries and IT systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain high‑performance analytics services and APIs.
• Collaborate with IT, front‑office, and quant teams to align development with strategic vision.
• Implement incremental enhancements to existing C++ libraries and Python codebases.
• Support end‑users across geographically distributed teams, gathering requirements and delivering solutions.

Required profile

• Strong Python development experience covering the full software lifecycle.
• Proficiency in modern C++ for modifying in‑house libraries.
• Experience in financial application development, preferably in rates pricing and risk.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with traders, strategists and technical stakeholders.
