Quantity Surveyor – Construction & FM Projects

About the role

Contribute to the success of a variety of projects across different sectors. You’ll need strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail to enhance our project management capabilities while analysing budgets and collaborating with stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review construction plans and provide detailed quantity and cost requirements.
• Collaborate with site managers, clients, consultants, contractors and subcontractors to ensure seamless communication.
• Provide senior‑level support to site‑based contract staff and oversee validation, valuation and forecasting on Facilities Management contracts.
• Support estimating and work‑in‑progress on SOR‑based Facilities Management contracts.
• Prepare labour loading and pricing schedules for Facilities Management tender returns.
• Produce comprehensive reports, analyses, contracts, budgets, risk assessments and other essential documents.
• Document design changes promptly and update budgets to reflect modifications accurately.
• Travel to various sites as required to oversee progress and address on‑site challenges.

Required profile

• A sound knowledge and experience of project cost and commercial management in projects up to £3 million.
• Excellent attention to detail when working with costs and measurements.
• Ability to organise, plan and prioritise to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain a professional network.
• Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
• A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as necessary.
