Quantity Surveyor – Flat Roofing Systems

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor – Flat Roofing Systems will join a specialist construction management recruitment consultancy, working on commercial roofing projects ranging from £100k to £3m. Based in Brentwood, you will manage the financial and contractual side of flat roofing schemes, ensuring projects stay on budget and deliver profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost plans, tender submissions, quotations and pre‑qualification questionnaires.
• Administer contracts and sub‑contracts, handling all related commercial documentation.
• Monitor project costs, valuations, variations and forecasts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage commercial aspects from award to final account for flat roofing systems such as bitumen membranes, single‑ply, hot‑melt waterproofing, liquid‑applied and green roofs.

Required profile

• Proven quantity surveying experience within the roofing market, preferably flat roofing.
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors is advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and professional communication skills.
• Team‑oriented, confident and able to handle project issues effectively.
