Quarry Plant Service Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Quarry Plant Service Engineer to join a well‑established mining services company at the newly re‑opened Hemerdon Mine near Plymouth. The role involves on‑site field service, fault‑finding and maintenance of crushing and screening equipment used to process tungsten ore.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance and emergency breakdown repairs on quarry crushing and screening plant.
• Produce technical service reports and parts requirement lists after each visit.
• Assist with plant installations, refurbishments and re‑installations, resolving on‑site issues as they arise.
• Support site operators with training to optimise equipment performance.
• Ensure all work complies with Health & Safety documentation and company standards.

Required profile

• Relevant engineering qualification (e.g., Mechanical Engineering).
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the mining or construction equipment sector.
• Valid CSCS Safe Pass (preferred) and Quarry Pass.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team under pressure.
