Real Estate Finance Solicitor – £80k+ (DOE) – Birmingham

About the role

This senior solicitor position will join a nationally recognised real estate finance team in Birmingham. You will work on high‑profile financing transactions for banks, funds, corporates and institutional clients, both domestically and internationally.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex real estate finance transactions from inception to completion.
• Advise lenders and borrowers on structuring, documentation and regulatory compliance.
• Draft and negotiate loan agreements, security documents and related legal paperwork.
• Collaborate closely with the head of department and senior partners to support business development.
• Maintain and develop relationships with a diverse client base across the financial sector.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years post‑qualification experience (PQE) handling real estate finance matters.
• Proven ability to manage a full caseload independently.
• Experience leading transactions on both lender and borrower sides.
• Strong background in banking and finance law with a focus on real estate.
• Demonstrated business development skills and a commitment to team growth.
