Receptionist – Fine Dining Restaurant

About the role

The Peninsula London is seeking a professional Receptionist to join the Brooklands Restaurant & Bar team. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm, discreet and efficient welcome in a Michelin‑starred fine‑dining environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests with a friendly yet unobtrusive approach.
• Manage reservations accurately and maintain up‑to‑date guest profiles.
• Provide detailed knowledge of food and beverage menus, operating hours and special offerings.
• Operate the POS system to retrieve guest information and process transactions.
• Monitor the condition of reception areas and recommend improvements.

Required profile

• Experience in a similar role within a fine‑dining restaurant or luxury 5‑star hotel.
• Strong understanding of fine‑food dining culture and restaurant operations.
• Excellent time‑management, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency with POS systems.
