Recoveries Lawyer

About the role

Keoghs LLP is seeking a Recoveries Lawyer to join its Property Risks & Coverage team, focusing on household and commercial property recovery claims. The role is based in the Bristol office with hybrid working and involves handling claims ranging from £10K to over £100K.

Key responsibilities

• Initial review of claims, assessing funding prospects and recovery potential.
• Investigating evidential matters and gathering evidence to establish cause of action.
• Instructing counsel and experts, and conducting legal research.
• Drafting letters of claim, claim forms and particulars for issue.
• Attending conferences, trials and settlement negotiations, including Part 36 offers.
• Managing the litigation process from pre‑action to final resolution, including ADR and court appearances.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or equivalent with relevant technical capability.
• 0‑3 years experience in claimant or defendant property litigation.
• Experience managing a caseload of household and commercial recoveries.
• Ability to work with case management systems and prioritize workload.
