Recruitment Delivery Consultant – Defence & National Security

About the role

We are seeking a Recruitment Delivery Consultant to specialise in the Defence and National Security market. Based in Manchester with hybrid working, you will focus on sourcing and placing candidates who hold Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearances across engineering, cyber, intelligence and other technical disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively source, engage and build pipelines of cleared and clearable candidates for Defence and government roles.
• Collaborate with senior consultants to understand client requirements and deliver against live vacancies.
• Screen candidates thoroughly, verifying clearance status, eligibility and suitability.
• Develop market knowledge of the defence supply chain, key clients and clearance processes.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with candidates who may be intermittently active in the market.

Required profile

• Experience in candidate sourcing, preferably with exposure to Defence, National Security, Government or cleared markets.
• Strong interest in building a career within security‑cleared recruitment.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to discuss sensitive roles.
• Resilience and patience, recognising that placements can take months.
