Regional Health Care Support Worker (B3) – NHS

About the role

The Regional Health Care Support Worker (B3) provides person‑centred care across a range of specialist services within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will work in a supportive environment, helping patients in renal, burns, spinal, oncology and other units while contributing to high‑quality clinical outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Assist nursing and medical staff with daily patient care activities.
• Support patient hygiene, mobility, and comfort across designated specialties.
• Monitor and record basic observations as directed.
• Maintain clean and safe clinical environments.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and patients.
• Adhere to infection control and health‑and‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients.
• Ability to work flexibly across full‑time (36 hrs/week) or part‑time arrangements.
• Willingness to select a specialty area and commit to its schedule.
• Commitment to staff wellbeing, development and continuous learning.
