Regional Service Charge Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced leader to head our Regional Service Charge team in the South West, based in Basingstoke. The role combines office and home working with occasional travel to our Wembley office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the regional team, setting a clear vision and fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Set and manage the annual service charge expenditure and income budget for approximately 20,000 units (£20 million).
• Oversee the annual service charge estimate, final account process and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate across the business to drive service improvement and deliver excellent customer service.
• Review and approve certification of annual service charges, including calculation documentation.
• Produce and analyse regular reports on recoverable repairs, maintenance expenditure and service charge income.

Required profile

• Proven management experience in service charge or similar large‑scale financial settings, preferably housing.
• Strong knowledge of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and related guidance.
• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience with solid accounting concepts.
• Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines and manage stakeholder relationships.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with housing/property management systems such as Workday, SUN, Agresso, NEC or Active H.
