Regional Vice President, Forward Deployed Engineering (EMEA)

About the role

We are building a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team to bridge the gap between the value our enterprise customers expect from Cursor and what they actually receive. As the Regional Vice President for EMEA, you will lead and scale this team, managing strategic engagements and acting as the primary technical sponsor for high‑priority accounts.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales and delivery cycle from technical discovery to executive close, partnering with sales and account teams to qualify opportunities and scope engagements.
• Lead and develop a team of 6–8 FDEs, hiring top talent, setting performance standards, and coaching engineers through complex, high‑stakes projects.
• Serve as the executive technical sponsor for strategic accounts, managing stakeholder relationships from individual contributors to C‑suite executives.
• Build reusable playbooks, translate business outcomes into technical implementations, and feed product gaps back to engineering.
• Establish and scale a partner FDE track, training GSI and consulting partners to extend the motion at volume.

Required profile

• 8+ years leading technical teams that build and ship production code in Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or similar functions.
• Proven experience diagnosing complex enterprise engineering environments and scoping high‑leverage engagements.
• Track record of building and scaling IC‑level technical teams with a focus on sharp scoping, clean delivery, and lasting customer impact.
