Registered Nurse – Clinical Research

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic Registered Nurses to join the Clinical Research Facility at NHS Lothian. In this role you will provide high‑quality nursing care to patients and volunteers taking part in clinical research studies, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and support the delivery of research studies in the Wellcome Trust Clinical Research Facility.
• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to participants, following study protocols.
• Collect and manage research data in line with GCP guidelines.
• Maintain clinical, staff and research governance standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including investigators and research coordinators.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (NMC) qualification.
• Commitment to NHS values and a collaborative, person‑focused approach.
• Interest in clinical research and willingness to develop leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• Good Clinical Practice (GCP) knowledge.
• Research data collection and documentation.
