Registered Nurse – Preassessment (Part‑time)

About the role

Spire Elland Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Adult Nurse to join the Preassessment department on a part‑time, permanent basis (30 hours per week). You will work within a multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality patient assessments for surgical suitability.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments both face‑to‑face and over the phone.
• Liaise with Anaesthetics, consultants and other services to coordinate care.
• Apply hospital policies and criteria to determine surgical suitability.

Required profile

• Registered Adult Nurse with a valid NMC pin and no restrictions.
• Previous or current experience in a hospital setting, ideally in pre‑assessment or peri‑operative areas.
• Compassionate, patient‑focused approach with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multi‑task and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
• Computer literate with good IT skills; phlebotomy skills are desirable.
