About the role
Regulatory Affairs helps Google innovate responsibly and comply with laws worldwide. As a Regulatory and Litigation Counsel, you will join an EMEA‑based team that defines defence strategies, conducts investigations, gathers and reviews information, and represents the company in engagements with governments and regulators.
Key responsibilities
- Lead responses to regulatory inquiries, investigations, litigation, enforcement actions and related civil matters.
- Oversee the collection and production of information for external submissions and disclosures.
- Provide legal advice on government and regulatory audits and examinations.
Required profile
- JD, LL.B. or equivalent degree, or comparable practical experience.
- Admission to the bar and good standing (or authorized in‑house status) in the relevant jurisdiction.
- At least 7 years of attorney‑level experience in government, in‑house, or law‑firm practice.
- Experience with cross‑border litigation or regulatory defence in EMEA.
- Background in legal, regulatory and litigation matters, including risk mitigation.
- Experience with affirmative litigation such as judicial review, class actions or proceedings before the EU Court of Justice.

What we offer
- Salary range €184,000 – €189,000 per year (Ireland) plus a 25% bonus target.
