Relationship Director – Property Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Relationship Director to lead a high‑quality commercial property finance portfolio for a leading international bank. The role combines relationship management, credit risk assessment and business development to drive profitable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop a portfolio of property finance customers, ensuring profitability and risk compliance.
• Origin new business, promote the bank’s property lending services and attend networking events.
• Conduct detailed credit and risk assessments, prepare lending proposals and present them to Credit Committees.
• Monitor covenant compliance, external ratings and escalates risks to senior management.
• Visit development sites regularly, oversee documentation, security and liaise with lawyers, valuers and surveyors.
• Track interest and fee collection, manage delinquent positions and ensure timely fulfilment of credit conditions.
• Provide regular pipeline and portfolio reports to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience in commercial property finance and relationship management within a banking environment.
• Strong understanding of credit risk, covenant monitoring and loan documentation.
• Ability to mentor junior colleagues and work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
