Reliability Engineer – Maintenance & Asset Management

About the role
As a Reliability Engineer you will join Heineken UK’s Supply Chain engineering team in Manchester, playing a key part in defining and delivering best‑in‑class maintenance strategies to keep production schedules on track.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement asset maintenance plans that meet performance targets and statutory compliance.
- Create long‑term preventative maintenance strategies based on asset condition, industry best practice and HEINEKEN standards.
- Lead Standard Improvement (AM) teams to optimise and standardise maintenance plans.
- Manage changes to minimise operational risks related to safety, quality and reliability.
- Coach operations to transfer basic maintenance tasks and support TPM AM teams.
- Assist Shift Maintenance Technicians with breakdown analysis and implementation of counter‑measures.
- Execute maintenance standards (HACS) to the highest standard, driving continuous improvement.
- Reduce unplanned downtime through minor‑stop analysis and benchmarking.
- Build strong relationships with service providers to drive performance improvements.
- Lead investment proposals aimed at enhancing reliability, lowering costs and ensuring compliance.
Required profile
- Proven experience in reliability or maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of statutory compliance, health & safety and quality requirements.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional improvement teams and influence operational change.
Required skills
- Knowledge of HEINEKEN Asset Management standards (HACS).
- Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and Asset Management (AM) processes.
