Relief Support Worker

About the role

Join Crossreach as a Relief Support Worker and provide flexible, person‑centred care to adults facing challenging circumstances. You will step in on an as‑needed basis, delivering encouragement, structure and compassionate support during individual shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Assist service users with daily routines such as morning hygiene, meals and personal care.
• Participate in group activities or one‑to‑one sessions as required.
• Follow individual support plans and record observations accurately.
• Offer calm, respectful presence during stressful moments.
• Maintain dignity and promote independence for each person you support.

Required profile

• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to varied tasks.
• Good communication skills and reliable note‑keeping.
• Willingness to work independently while adhering to team guidelines.
• Commitment to the Christian ethos of the organisation.

• Confidence in working independently.
