Remote Court of Protection Solicitor

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced Court of Protection Solicitor to join its award‑winning team on a fully remote basis. The role focuses on health and welfare matters, delivering high‑quality legal advice and client care while working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of Court of Protection files, primarily health and welfare matters.
• Provide expert legal advice to publicly funded clients and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Maintain and develop strong client relationships, delivering a client‑focused service.
• Supervise junior staff where required and contribute to team development.
• Stay up‑to‑date with developments in mental capacity law and related case law.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with solid experience in Court of Protection work, especially health and welfare cases.
• Demonstrated commitment to publicly funded legal services.
• Passion for the area of law and a collaborative, collegiate attitude.
• Ability to work independently while managing a remote workload.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Court of Protection procedures and mental capacity legislation.
• Strong client communication and case management abilities.
• Experience supervising or participating in Mental Capacity (Welfare) Panels (desirable).
