Renewables Electrician and Solar PV Installer

About the role

We are recruiting for an experienced Renewables Electrician and Solar PV Installer to join a growing renewable energy business delivering high‑quality domestic and commercial projects across the South East. In this hands‑on position you will install, test and commission solar PV and battery storage systems while working alongside an experienced installation team.

Key responsibilities

• Install, test and commission Solar PV and battery storage systems.
• Carry out electrical work on domestic and commercial projects.
• Lead and support on‑site installations.
• Fault‑find, maintain and optimise existing renewable systems.
• Complete electrical work for heat‑pump power supplies.
• Produce testing, certification and compliance documentation.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the South East.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship.

Required profile

• Previous Solar PV and battery storage installation experience.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment.
• 18th Edition Inspection & Testing qualification or strong practical testing experience.
• At least two years post‑apprenticeship electrical experience.
• Full UK driving licence and comfortable working at height.
• Strong customer‑facing and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
