Repairs Administrator – Temp to Perm

About the role

The Repairs Administrator will support a busy housing maintenance contract, coordinating repairs and maintenance for a portfolio of over 14,000 homes in Potters Bar. This temp‑to‑perm position involves planning, scheduling and communicating work to engineers, residents and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule service and repair works for engineers, ensuring efficient diary management.
• Arrange appointments with residents and confirm dates, communicating clearly.
• Work closely with engineers, supervisors, team leaders and contract managers to ensure jobs are planned correctly and completed on time.
• Manage the service programme, including follow‑on works where required.
• Handle scheduling issues such as cancellations, access problems or delays and rearrange works as needed.
• Liaise with residents, clients and internal teams to provide updates and resolve queries.
• Raise, update and close jobs accurately in the company’s systems.
• Monitor progress of works and flag any issues that could affect KPIs or completion targets.

Required profile

• Previous experience in scheduling, planning, repairs administration or a similar coordination role.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Excellent planning, organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a busy environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, positive and customer‑focused attitude.
