Repairs Supervisor – Damp & Mould Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a Repairs Supervisor to lead a team of trade operatives focused on damp and mould repairs for social housing and property maintenance. The role combines hands‑on technical work with people management, ensuring that repairs are completed safely, on time and to the high standards expected by Axis CLC.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise operatives and subcontractors delivering responsive damp and mould repairs.
• Monitor cases from allocation to completion, maintaining accurate records and audit trails.
• Prioritise works to meet SLA targets while safeguarding resident health and wellbeing.
• Ensure all activities comply with relevant legislation, Social Housing Regulation and Awaab’s Law.
• Conduct regular site visits, toolbox talks, risk assessments and safety inspections.
• Review completed work, verify coding accuracy and manage variations.
• Coordinate with planners, administrators and client teams to maintain workflow and reporting.
• Support out‑of‑hours service planning and mentor apprentices to build team capability.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Repairs Supervisor or Senior Operative in social housing or property maintenance, with a focus on damp and mould.
• Strong knowledge of multiple trades and the ability to guide a mobile workforce.
• Excellent organisational and performance‑management skills.
• Understanding of Health & Safety, RAMS and compliance processes.
