Repairs Support Officer

About the role

We are seeking a proactive, customer‑focused Repairs Support Officer to join our Property Services team in Croydon. Working on a hybrid schedule, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure repairs are delivered efficiently and residents receive timely updates.

Key responsibilities

• Provide administrative assistance to the Repairs Operations Team.
• Monitor outstanding repair work orders and ensure completion within service level agreements.
• Liaise with contractors, residents and internal teams to resolve repair enquiries.
• Coordinate inspections and follow‑up actions to maintain high service standards.
• Support KPI monitoring, reporting and data analysis for service improvement.
• Investigate and respond to customer complaints and service issues.
• Ensure contractors deliver value for money and meet quality expectations.
• Maintain accurate records in line with data protection requirements.

Required profile

• Experience in responsive repairs, housing maintenance or social housing environments.
• Background in customer service or support roles.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers or external partners.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.

• Hybrid working model – three days in the office per week (Tuesday compulsory).
• Competitive hourly rate (£18.92 PAYE / £25.03 Umbrella).
• 3‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of extension.
• Full‑time schedule – 36 hours per week, Monday‑Friday.
