About the role
The MandateWire team produces exclusive intelligence on the investment activities of asset owners across Europe. Reporting from London, you will focus on UK asset owners – pension schemes, insurers, charities, family offices and wealth managers – and deliver original news stories, analysis and multimedia content.
Key responsibilities
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior representatives of UK asset owners through interviews, virtual meetings and industry events.
- Research and write accurate news covering mandate searches, manager appointments, terminations, strategic allocation changes and governance developments.
- Conduct independent research using annual reports, regulatory filings and other public sources to identify newsworthy developments.
- Maintain and update MandateWire’s proprietary database with timely market intelligence.
- Generate a pipeline of exclusive mandate opportunity stories for daily subscriber alerts.
- Produce feature articles, market analysis, trend pieces and multimedia content such as video interviews and podcasts.
- Represent MandateWire at conferences, moderate panels, host webinars and interview senior industry figures.
- Collaborate with the European editorial team to ensure comprehensive market coverage.
Required profile
- Excellent communication and interviewing skills with confidence to engage senior institutional investors.
- Strong relationship‑building ability and a track record of developing trusted sources.
- Outstanding organisational and time‑management skills to meet daily, monthly and quarterly deadlines.
- Robust research and analytical capabilities to interpret complex information.
- High‑quality written English for clear, engaging copy across formats.
- Attention to detail and commitment to editorial and data accuracy.
- Curious, proactive mindset with motivation to uncover exclusive stories.
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast‑moving news environment and collaborate effectively.
