Residential Conveyancer – Essex Property Firm

About the role

Our client, a well‑established provincial firm in Essex, is looking for an experienced Residential Conveyancer to join their busy team. The role involves managing a diverse caseload of property transactions, including sales, purchases, leasehold extensions and re‑mortgages.

Key responsibilities

• Handle residential conveyancing matters for both leasehold and freehold properties.
• Process transfers, joint ownership arrangements and residential lease extensions.
• Manage re‑mortgage transactions and liaise with lenders.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.
• Collaborate closely with the Head of Department and a small support team.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Residential Conveyancer.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage a heavy caseload.
• Strong knowledge of property law, leasehold and freehold transactions.
• Excellent communication skills with estate agents and clients.

Required skills

• Residential conveyancing practice.
• Understanding of leasehold extension procedures.
• Experience with re‑mortgage and joint ownership transactions.
