Residential Conveyancer

About the role

Our client is a modern, multi‑office law firm based in Surrey, seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join their specialist team. The role involves handling a full range of residential conveyancing matters for private and commercial clients, supporting the firm’s growth and upholding its core values.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sales and purchase transactions, including new builds and re‑mortgages.
• Handle transfers of equity, lease extensions, help‑to‑buy and shared‑ownership deals.
• Liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders and other external professionals.
• Work closely with the Private Client Department on leasing matters.
• Maintain accurate case files and ensure compliance with residential property law.

Required profile

• 1‑3+ years post‑qualification experience in residential conveyancing.
• Strong knowledge of sales, purchases, re‑mortgages, transfers of equity and lease extensions.
• Ability to work autonomously on complex legal matters.
• Proactive in networking and business development.
• Excellent administration, organisational and client‑relationship skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the LEAP conveyancing software.
