Corporate Solicitor – 6+ PQE, £80k+ DOE

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established corporate team in Surrey, advising a diverse portfolio of businesses, entrepreneurs and investors. You will work on high‑value and complex transactions, delivering commercially focused legal solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and spin‑out transactions from instruction to completion.
• Draft and negotiate key transaction documents and manage deal timetables.
• Provide ongoing company law and corporate governance advice.
• Collaborate with clients and external advisers to achieve commercial objectives.
• Support business development and generate new client opportunities.
• Supervise and mentor junior members of the team.

Required profile

• 6+ years post‑qualification experience in a recognised corporate practice.
• Proven ability to manage transactions independently, especially M&A work.
• Commercially astute with strong client‑relationship skills.
• Experience supervising junior lawyers and a proactive approach to networking.

Required skills

• Expertise in drafting and negotiating corporate transaction documents.
• Strong understanding of UK company law and corporate governance.
• Ability to manage complex deal timetables and multiple stakeholders.
